Opening Ceremony

Today, exactly on Tuesday, 2nd August 2011, 7 Squadron Suryadarma Air Force Base in Kalijati held the 14th opening ceremony of The Transition Course of Helicopters Aircraft (Kursus Pengenalan Terbang Pesawat Helikopter/KPTPH). This course is followed by eight pilots graduated from Indonesian Air Force Flying School in yogyakarta.

The course is divided into two phases. The first phase of the lesson in class and the second stage is flight who each gets 50 hours of flying.  This KPTPH  is the first time using Ec 120 B Colibri aircraft because of previous used to fly with Bell 47 soloy.

Commander of Suryadrma Air Force Base lieutenant colonel Heraldy Dumex Dharma, AP S., M. Si (Han) as isnpector of ceremony said that the it was held to make the Air Force helicopter pilots or we call it choppers are professionals, expected shortage of helicopter pilots can be fulfilled. In addition the program is a form of regeneration of the helicopter pilot, who will continue the duties of air-operational tasks ahead.
